How We Make Our Jewellery
Our Craftsmanship
Our inOre Jewellery workshop is based near Loch Lomond, Scotland, where every piece begins as an original design before being carefully handcrafted using traditional silversmithing techniques. We believe exceptional jewellery should be made to last, which is why every stage of our process is carried out with precision, care, and an unwavering attention to detail.
Our handcrafted jewellery is created using time-honoured techniques including soldering, piercing, filing, sanding and, perhaps most importantly, plenty of polishing. These traditional methods are complemented by specialist craftsmanship such as sand casting, lost wax casting, bezel setting and flush setting, allowing us to create contemporary luxury jewellery with enduring quality.
Alongside these heritage techniques, we embrace modern innovation. We use computer-aided design (CAD) and 3D printing to develop, refine and test new designs before they are expertly crafted by hand. By combining traditional silversmithing with contemporary technology, we create jewellery that is both beautifully made and thoughtfully engineered.
Materials
We believe beautiful jewellery starts with exceptional materials. That's why we work exclusively with precious metals, including recycled 925 sterling silver, 9ct and 18ct gold, and 9ct rose gold. We never use plated metals, ensuring every piece offers the lasting beauty, durability and value of solid precious metal.
Our silver and gold bullion is sourced from recycled and refined precious metals, helping to reduce the environmental impact associated with newly mined materials while maintaining the highest quality standards.
Every chain we use is crafted from solid sterling silver or gold—never plated—and sourced from trusted European suppliers who share our commitment to quality.
Our jewellery packaging is equally considered. Our FSC® certified jewellery boxes are manufactured in the UK using responsibly sourced paper and wood-based materials, reflecting our commitment to thoughtful craftsmanship from the jewellery itself to the moment it reaches you.
As a small independent jewellery workshop, we're proud to design and make jewellery in Scotland that celebrates craftsmanship, originality and lasting quality. Follow our journey as we share behind-the-scenes stories from the workshop, giving you a closer look at the people, processes and passion behind every inOre Jewellery piece.
